If we are in a position to put our top -performance urges apart, the Cayenne S comes with a superb balance of luxury, affordability, and performance. Although it does not have the outright speed of the Turbo and even the E-Hybrid, we love its delicate styling, feature content and great functionality.

The 2019 Porsche Cayenne has been remodeled from front side to rear and now has more of a similarity to the 911 than ever. Engine power has been enhanced, and there is a brand new Cayenne E-Hybrid, that replaces previous year’s S E-Hybrid. Porsche has even managed to develop the Cayenne weigh less as compared to the last year.
Interior of, the Cayenne sees a modified inside, complete with a 12. 3-inch touch screen for control on the majority of the SUV’s functions. It is much the same as the one seen in the current Panamera. The device board, too, has been modified with a couple of 7- ” multi-function digital screens. The luggage space has been created even larger for 2019, as well.
Obviously, Porsche still offers a variety of customization choices for every Cayenne. Combos can seem nearly limitless, including a broad range of colors, wheels, interior materials, and functionality -related improvements. But all these alternatives can shoot the cost right into orbit.
Because well-rounded like the Porsche Cayenne might be, there can be some downsides to consider. We think the back seat and luggage space to be sufficient, but some other SUVs in the class provide more space. And some characteristics, which are standard on competing firms, are costly choices on the Cayenne. But we have been fans of the Porsche Cayenne, but with the upgrades, Porsche made to the 2019 model, we have no reason at all to change our point of view.
Especially, we selected the 2019 Porsche Cayenne among Edmunds’ Greatest Luxury SUVs(Sports utility vehicles) for this year.

Porsche Cayenne Models
The 2019 Porsche Cayenne is a 5 – person Medium Size SUV offered in 4 trim ranges: Turbo, S, base, and E- Hybrid. These trim ranges mainly vary by what vehicle engine is under the bonnet, although they do generally have some additional features with every step up as well — all feature four-wheel drive and an 8 – speed auto transmission.
The base Cayenne is absolutely nothing to sneeze at, with lots of performance coming from its turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine (335 horsepower, 332 lb-ft). 19 ” standard wheels, just like LED front lights, partially leather seat designs along with a 12. 4 ” touchscreen display, amongst other features.
The Cayenne S includes a panoramic roof, tinted taillights, PASM of Porsche Active Suspension Management, an adaptive suspension, a two-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine (434 hp, 406 lb-ft), and different 19″ wheels.
The E-Hybrid is run by a turbocharged 3. 0-liter V6 engine assisted by a power motor (455 hp, 516 lb-ft combined). A plug-in hybrid, the E-Hybrid will travel around 43 Kms on all-electric power prior to the fuel engine starts. It adds Porsche Active Suspension Management or PASM and the Sport Chrono package as standard gear.
In the Turbo model, a twin-turbo V8 engine (541 hp, 561 lb-ft) engine is installed in place of the V6 engine. Above and over the typical Cayenne, the turbo series comes with improved front sport seats, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, back and front heated seats, improved braking systems, an air suspension with PASM, adaptive LED headlights and a lovely sunroof.
Various functions that are available on higher trim ranges can be purchased as stand-alone options. In fact, like other Porsches, the Cayenne is among the most customizable SUVs you can purchase.
After that, you have a lot more options from a mind-blowing choices list. It begins with two main deals – Premium Package and Premium Plus Package – and then go to a massive list of stand-alone options. All work to increase the Cayenne’s performance, interior and exterior style, safety, comfort, audio, and technology. All for a price, obviously.
Every SUV usually is available in different variations which are fundamentally the same. The scores in this overview are driven by our complete test of the 21-inch wheels (turbo 3.0L V6.
Big SUVs are not expected to feel so fast, however, when that SUV puts on a Porsche logo, it is assumed. The Cayenne unspools constant streams of power from any double-digit speed and has surprisingly unlimited grip in curves. The steering is bulkier as compared to a family SUV usually requires, and just the brake system feel below smooth.
Porsche’s magic recipe for combining confident and athletic handling with a firm and comfortable luxurious quality of the ride is fully demonstrated in the Cayenne. The regular seats available remain comfortable over a long journey for a number of body types. There is a bit of noise but minor vibration. But you will require to hold a hand fan within reach. Cool and Hot air dribbles weakly through the air vents at lower fan speeds.
A wide range of vehicle driving postures and spacious quarters enable the Cayenne to feel both like an adequate sports vehicle or a more typical SUV. It is simple to slide in and out of, also with the back “stadium-style” seat designs. The exclusive exterior design makes looking out the backsides a challenge, though.
Items area is not so big, and internal storage space is a mixed bag, but there is sufficient here to offer the Cayenne actual everyday usefulness. A 40/20/40-split foldable back seat enhances usefulness, and the optional air suspensions also useful to reduce the load floor height for big and heavy items. It is not an inexpensive choice but really worth it for bulky cargo users.
Newly designed infotainment is a spotlight feature of this refreshed Cayenne, and the large touchscreen display is the attraction. It is amongst the best interfaces in the elegance, simple and user-friendly and highly configurable. A lot more comprehensive variety of voice instructions, the introduction of Android Auto, and a minimum of some basic typical driver support functions would make the system a lot better.
